I would have to say Astor place in the east of the village.It is a very popular place to get a hair cut and not very expensive.This trndy place has been around for years. best wishes.

sheckys.com and dailycandy.com sometimes feature great budget salons. I%26#39;d give them a go first.

What price range are you thinking?

Astor place specializes in Buzz cuts, unless your hair is very short this is probably not a great pick for you.

Jean Louis David is a quick service salon here in the city. There are several locations. However they are not know for their great cuts mostly know for low prices.

Where in the city are you staying?

There is a beautiful salon on Bleecker St, Robert Kree. it is not inexpensive but might be more reasonable then some of the high end salons I could recommend.

Jams - first question. are you a man or a woman?

if you%26#39;re a guy - I%26#39;d hit astor palce for a decent - old school haircut. this place is a barber shop. not a salon - prices are $13 to $15.

I%26#39;d avoid astor place if you%26#39;re female.
