Starwood property

We are planning a trip to NYC for our 20th anniversary in July (neither of us has ever been before). We are Starwood Preferred members and would like to take advantage of using our benefits. Which hotel would be the best to stay at? We want to be near Times Square. The reviews don%26#39;t seem to be too good for the Starwood properties in NYC except for the St. Regis (ouch).

Would it be better to just stay at a different hotel?

Hi Did you inquire about the sheraton on 811 7th ave on 53rd street?I see that is a starwood property there is also another sheraton in times square.I think the sheraton, I mentioned above looks nice.Good luck with what ever hotel you chooseGive the sheraton a try before giving up best wishes.

The Westin is in the Times Square area and it%26#39;s nice.

There are 11 Starwood hotels in Manhattan Here%26#39;s a link to the list. It%26#39;s the first 11 hotels.

If you want to be near Times Square, the W Times Square or the Westin would be the best choices. Rooms at the W TS are small but people like the hotel and the cool bar and restaurant. The Westin is a bit more corporate and a block off Times Square. You should look at the ';candid travelers photos'; on the page with reviews of the ones you%26#39;re interested in. The Parker Meridien, imo, would be a nicer option in July. It%26#39;s nearer Central Park and has an enclosed rooftop swimming pool.

If I recall correctly, the Parker M is not a participating hotel for redemptions in the *wood program.

I agree that the Westin (at 8th ave and 42nd street) is good. Also, try the W Court. It%26#39;s at Park Ave in the high 30%26#39;s. Nice quiet location. Short walking distance to the 34th and 42nd street subways.

Push comes to shove, the Four Points in Chelsea gets decent reviews on www.flyertalk.com
