We were thinking of staying at the Marriot Residence since with a teen visiting Skidmore we%26#39;d like a suite where he can have a seperate sleeping area/room. Are there any other hotels with suites? We are especially interested in staying in town where we can walk to restruarants.
Also, what is a good restuarant for parents with a teen that appreciate fine food in a casual atmoshere?

Hi--if you want to walk to restaurants, you might want to try staying at the Saratoga Hotel and Conference Center. It is big at over 200 rooms and close to Skidmore, but probably the best for walking to restaurants in town. I%26#39;m not sure if they have suites, but I think they have some. For restaurants, you might want to try One Caroline (good food and wine, and their daughter sings there on weekends and is awesome). Also, the conference center is opening Chez Sophie (or maybe it has opened by now) which is a great french restaurant that used to be located out of town. Across the way is a casual but very good wood fired pizza restaurant (Forno Toscano). If you don%26#39;t mind a small drive outside town, I really recommend Chez Pierre (north on Route 9) or the Wishing Well. For casual but real good food, at the other end of the lot from the hotel is the Old Bryan Inn. Brindisi%26#39;s is right in town (Italian) which I like a lot as well. Good luck !
