high end consignment shops

I%26#39;m heading to NYC the beginning of May and am interested in finding one or two great consignment shops. Do they exist in New York? I was in Dallas last week and they have amazing ones with tons of Chanel, St. John, Prada etc etc. I know each city is different, but thought I%26#39;d ask. Thanks a lot!

There are tons of them. Look up ';resale'; shops.

Fisch on 18th between 6th and 7th - the place that has Hermes bags, etc for less...

There are also a bunch on 9th street/around there in the east village

And, the upper east side has a bunch for the women who wear things once to unload their stuff

What a greaet idea, I didn%26#39;t even know these palces existed. Will add to my ever expanding list!

I was never to thrilled with Michaels, seems like they%26#39;ve had the same items for the past ten years.

Bis is good, definitely a place where people actually drop Prada, Chanel and St John%26#39;s pieces with the tags still attached!

Have fun...I love rumaging through those places sometimes, especially the accessories (Bis carries bags, jewelry, hats and shoes that they only accept if they were never worn!)
