Metro Hotel

We%26#39;re traveling to nyc the second week in June. 5 people, including a 15 yr old. We%26#39;re looking at the Metro Hotel. Does anyone have any recent experience there? We%26#39;re celebrating our 25th anniversary, Need 2 rooms, somewhere nice and close to everything. The other hotel we%26#39;re considering is the Doubletree Times Square.

If so, it seems to have very good reviews on here.

Doubletree is supposed to be good too.

its on my reserve list at the mo/ I%26#39;ve had 2 sets of friends who stayed here recently and both said it was great. Close to Macys and the Empire state building. They said breakfast was included and there was a lounge you could wander in any time of day and get hot drinks etc which they felt was a good idea as they could nip back with their shopping - grab a drink and head back out again.

Stayed there a few nights during the Xmas season. Have to agree with everything that Ruthiebabie stated above. Staff are very helpful. Some rooms are a little on the small side. They are very popular with foreign tourists and the rates seem to keep rising as this place gets more popular.
