New York Pass

I%26#39;m visiting NY for the first time in May for 5 days with my wife and 2 teenage children. The intention is to visit the Statue of Liberty, Rockefeller observation deck, Times Square, Central Park, Grand Central Station and maybe a general site seeing tour. Is it worth buying a New York pass?

New York Pass

There is no admission charge to Times Square, Central Park or GCT.

I%26#39;m not a big fan of these passes as they require you to do too much in a short period of time,

I would suggest you go ala carte - you%26#39;ll probably spend less than the passes cost.

And you will not be obligated to visit attractions in which you have no interest.

Hope you understand my thinking.

New York Pass

With such few attractions on your agenda it might be better to skip the New York Pass since there are so many attractions included, instead maybe go for the City Pass (http://www.citypass.com) or the New York Explorer Pass (http://www.explorerpass.com) (which is fairly new) since those have less attractions and cost less money. Since you want to go to Top of the Rock %26amp; the Statue of Liberty %26amp; a General Tour you should probably go with Explorer pass since you can buy the 3 attraction or 5 attraction card for a reasonable price. (The website also shows itineraries where you%26#39;ll actually save money--so it%26#39;s probably best to stick to those itineraries so you get your money%26#39;s worth) You also have 30 days to use the Explorer Pass and 9 days for the City Pass so either one would be better than the 1 day New York Pass.
