Im coming to newyork..next week

Hi peeps, im flying to the USA next saturday and my 1st stop as part of my month long tour is newyork for about 7days.

I know theres so much to do etc but just wondering if anyone can recomend any places to visit that aint on your tourist map(not the usual empire state building etc)

Im into all sorts of music, food, entertainment, im up for ought, so anything will be helpful.

I plan on staying in a hostel so if anyone can mention some good ones that would be nice.

ANother thing that im desperate to know is if theres any bars or places that will show LIVE manchester United games?

Ive heard of a bar in newyork thats Man Utd crazy, but if theres any others people can mention, id be so grateful

Cheers, and who knows, might see u out there

Jack, how old are you, and are you travelling alone or with friends? This will help for those providing answers.

Hope this helps you

There%26#39;s a part of me that really wants to do the ';tour'; written about in the attached article- I once spent about two years reading nothing but non-fiction accounts of mob life so I have a continuing fascination with it. I really want to visit St John%26#39;s cemetery in Long Island which is the Mafia version of the Rock %26amp; Roll Hall of Fame - more dead goodfellas in one place than any other!

A lot of bars will show ManU games live, but Nevada Smiths is a sure bet www.grahamecurtis.com/nevadasmiths/main.html

I live here so I%26#39;ve never had reason to stay here, but this place is nicely located.

Thanks, thats the bar i been looking for!

I saw it on a documentray, big manchester united following go there etc and i been searching the internet like mad looking for it.

So cheers for that, hope the beers cheap!

Livetotravel, St. John%26#39;s Cemetery is closer than you think -- it is in Middle Village, in Queens.

PostmanJack, you ight be interested in exploring Williamsburg in Brooklyn -- I think it is the kind of neighborhood you would find fun. Try doing some searches on this forum.
