Days Inn?

THE DAYS INN IN NJ SAYS IT IS minutes away from Time Square. Is the subway near there. We will be coming in by train. Any info would be great.

Thanks

Days Inn?

Your question does not make sense. There are about 20 Days Inn hotelss in the state of New Jersey. Which one did you have in mind? Furthermore, the New York City subway at no point crosses the City boundary, let alone the state line. There is the Port Authorit%26#39;s PATH (Port Authority Trans Hudson) train, but that is not the same thing as the subway.

As for that ';minutes away';, I suppose you could say that anything is minutes away from anything else. New York is minutes away from London -- about 300 minutes. While one would not need a comparable five hours to travel between the adjacent states, nothing in New Jersey is adjacent to Times Square -- there is the not-insignificant fact of the Hudson River, for one thing...

Days Inn?

If you indicate the location of the Days Inn you will get information on how to get to NYC using public transportation. There are three ways to do this. You would have to find out which of the following is closest to the Days Inn

PATH train - can bring you to downtown Manhattan or to W. 32rd St

NJ Transit bus - will take you to Port Authority, 42nd and 8th Avenue

NJ Transit train - takes you to Penn Station, 32nd St. and 8th Ave.

One way to determine how MANY minutes it should take is to go to mapquest.com and get directions from the hotel into Manhattan. It will also give you an estimate of drive time. But as soon as you have to drive (whether bus or car) from New Jersey (vs. train) you are subject to the vagaries of traffic which is always terrible.
