Coeliac Diet - Wheat and Gluten Free

We are going to New York in July for a weeks holiday. Does any have any advice or info on obtaining wheat/gluten free food in New York and also on eating in restaurants?

Hello I have 3 suggestions for you.1 is SAMBUCA it is on 20 west 72nd street it is gluten Italian restaurant -212-787-5656.I heard they also have a gluten menu is FLOR';S kitchen, located 170 waverly place 212-229-9906 call them first.The last is Risotteria on bleeker street they have a gluten restricted menu .Best wishes .Also look for kosher and vegetarian restaurants some of them follow gluten free menu%26#39;s as well.best wishes!

NOTE: I know that Risotteria was closed by the Health Dept last month during the cleanliness crackdown, but they may have re-opened. Call ahead.





By the way, instead of yucky rice cakes, my absolute fave non-wheat snack right now are Corn Thins by Real Foods. You can find them at Whole Foods and Bell Bates natural food stores.
