What is there to do after 10 p.m. for a mom and a 13-yr old?

I%26#39;m going to New York alone with my 13 year old son. We have decided that in the evenings, we will probably go to the pictures and see a couple of films - although we intend to get around mostly on foot, so I doubt either of us will want to do anything but sleep after 10pm! lol

At home we would watch T.V. and then go to bed.

There has to be stuff to do that is age appropriate and safe?

Top of the Rock, ESB, Times Square should keep you busy after 10.00 p.m. but wouldn%26#39;t it be better to have relatively early nights and be up bright and early each day when everything is open?
