16 Year Old Birthday Ideas

I am making a day trip with my daughter who is turning 16. We will be taking the bus up and back which drops off/picks up at Rockefeller Center/Times Square. Any suggestions for lunch or activities? I know she wants to go to M%26amp;M world!

On what date are you both coming to NY? What is your familiarity with the city transportation? Does it have to be in the Times Square area?

You really need to give us more info. How many hours do you have? What does your daughter like? A show is the first thing that came to mind, but that will eat up a lot of the day and may not work if you%26#39;re not coming on a matinee day. M %26amp; M world? I find it hard to believe that that%26#39;s what would have her the most excited out of everything available in NYC. Top of the Rock, the observatory at Rock. Ctr. should be one stop.

We were there after Christmas and went to Top of the Rock, St. Patrick%26#39;s, American Girl Store (for the 10 y old.). Believe it or not my almost 16 year old really does want to go to M%26amp;M World so that is on the list. We only have from about 10:00-6:30, not long. What about shopping along Canal St.? Not too familiar with the transportation and couldn%26#39;t get a cab from the Met back to Rockefeller Center in December so a little unsure about venturing beyond walking distance....
