need hotel rec's

Hello all. My husband %26amp; I will be coming to NYC for our anniversary in August for a 3-4 night stay.

Originally we were going to stay at the Radio City Apartments as they were only $140 a night when I was researching a few months ago. Now they%26#39;re up to $175 a night for the same room/same time period.

Can anyone recommend another hotel in a similar area for under $150 a night. Cleanliness, safety, and location are our main priorities.

There are very few good options under $150. Sometimes the Eastgate Tower is well priced (www.affinia.com or on quikbook.com)

In August you would probably do well to bid on Priceline for a 4* hotel in midtown and get it for $150 or less (plus tax).

There might be some sales closer to your trip posted on travelzoo.com, but not likely to be $150. Only other idea is the Park South which is usually pretty inexpensive on quikbook.com BUT rooms are very small.
