The Doubletree??

Me and my family are thinking of staying in The Doubletree for a week in august..Me and my wife and my two daughters 16%26amp;18..planning on staying in a standard room..with two doubles..Is this a good place to stay? is it close to attractions..good shops..ect? any help appreciated!

The Doubletree??

There are 2 Doubletree Hotels in NYC. The one in Times Square is all suites and very good for a family your size. The other one called the D. Metropolitan has regular rooms. Sounds like that%26#39;s what you%26#39;re considering. While it%26#39;s ';ok'; there are far better hotels for a family of 4 in that area. There are several all suite hotels right near that location (which is fine). They are the Kimberly, the Affinia 50, the San Carlos and the Best Western Hospitality. The BW Hosp. is usually very affordable and has some 2 bedroom suites.

The very best value suite hotel is the Radio City apartments nearer Times Square but they get booked up quickly and may already be full. The Eastgate Tower, part of the www.affinia.com group is also good and affordable.

The Doubletree??

Should have added, in addition to more space in a suite, you also get a small kitchen which is very handy for snacks, take away, breakfast.

The Doubletree Guest Suites in Times Aquare is terrific and would be perfect for your family-two rooms,a small kitchenette and great views. I book all my out of town guests here. Could not be more convenient to restaurants and theatre. The other one, I know nothing about.

My family was in New York a couple of weeks ago for the first time and we stayed at the Double Tree Times Square. We where in 2 suites, one suite had 2 double beds and the other had a king bed. I loved the Double Tree. We are planning another trip and I wouldn%26#39;t want to stay anywhere else. It was so convenient to everything. We where just doors away from everything and we where able to enjoy Broadway shows at night and then we where in walking distance to our room. The room was very clean and the staff was wonderful. My daughter dropped her camera when she was getting into the elevator and the tiny thing feel into the crack and down into the shaft, instantly they had an engineer in the elevator shaft and found the camera. We nornally stay in condos when we travel and I tend to be picky when staying in Hotels but I found the Doubletree Times Square to have a great view, to be safe, clean and quiet.
