hotel from lastminute.com

Hello,

Can anyone who has booked a hotel through lastminute.com tell me if this hotel/ occupancy tax was included? The confirmation email we received comments on VAT but it is unclear about other tax just quoting the %26#39;final%26#39; price. We recently booked our hotel through them and now I am reading about this tax on the forum and I am rather worried as we are already on a tight budget. I have never encounted additional taxes when we have booked through them for holidays outside of America.

Why don%26#39;t you contact lastminute? Your other option is to phone the hotel and ask them if you will be charged anything in addtion to what you%26#39;ve paid lastminute. Take down the person%26#39;s name you speak to and keep a note of it with day and time of call.

Under terms and conditions for hotels on their website it says';

';All hotel discounts advertised are based on the discounts from the full ';rack rate'; including VAT and are correct at the time the offers are first advertised on any Channel. However, please note that some hotels in other countries may also charge local or other taxes, which may not be included in the offer. ';

Make sure you bring ALL the paperwork with you-the confirmation with the number and all costs. I had one experience (in England) with lastminute where the hotel didn%26#39;t want to honor the lastminute price. I think ti was the hotel and not lastminute%26#39;s fault, but just to be safe, make sure you have all the paperwork.
