Any suggestions for a good tour company?

I will be visiting in June and I will only have 2 days to see the sights, the other days will be spent at a conference.

Any ideas on a good tour company, I would like to see the statue of liberty, rockefeller center,empire state building etc.....

I think you need to see the SOL on your own (doubt they%26#39;re included in these tours.), but for all the main sights, there are two companies that get raves here:

If you want to go to the SOL and Ellis Island, you need a solid half-day. Most reports here say the SOL doesn%26#39;t take that much time (esp since no one is allowed to climb up it anymore), and that Ellis Island is very interesting and worth it.

If you want to see the SOL from a moderate distance, you can just take our free commuter ferry, the Staten Island Ferry, for a round trip and sail past her.

The guy from Marvelous Manhattan (kingofnyc.com) gets rave reviews for his knowledge and enthusiasm.

Grayline New York has a 48 hour hop-on hop-off pass. THis might be good since you only have two days.

We just loved the Marvelous Manhatten tour. The owner/guide is both knowledgable and passionate about New York City. You get a good, palatable dose of history along with some relevant political and social commentary. One of the things I really appreciated is that he makes a number of stops along the way for the purpose of showing you things wouldn%26#39;t normally see in the course of hop on/hop off stylet tour. He%26#39;s there for you and is very responsive and interactive. The only downside to his tour is that you%26#39;re going to realize that there%26#39;s far more to see %26amp; do in the city than you can do in just a visit or two. Enjoy

Ditto on the Marvelous Manhattan Tour. Steve is excellent! Otherwise if you have just certain things you want to see, maybe try to get a Big Apple Greeter for one day.
