Shhhhh it's a surprise

A friend and I are surprising our wives by going on a trip together. They will not know about each other until we arrive at LaGuardia. We will be arriving American Airlines and they will be flying US Air. Any suggestions on where we could ';bump into'; each other in Central Terminal? We really do not want to have to call each other, we just want to happen to show up at the same place. Someone had suggested a large restaurant on the southwest side of central terminal. Does anyone know what that restaurant is?

US Air is in a different terminal and in the normal course of events, there%26#39;d be no reason for someone arriving US Air to go to the Central Terminal.

NYWhiz is right! So, just meet at the hotel. Why not go there and check-in (if you bump into each other during the process... great!). If the ';bump-in doesn%26#39;t happen during check-in you can plan to have a drink in the lounge and, of course... bump into you friends there Assuming you are staying at the same hotel. Sounds like you are!

This is a neat idea! That said, I agree with NYWhiz that there isn%26#39;t any reason for you and your wife to go from the US Air terminal to the Central Terminal; in fact, even though they%26#39;re close to each other, it can be fairly unpleasant going from one to the other because of traffic, etc.

Maybe you could try a spot in Central Park or a restaurant in Manhattan or even in your hotel or a store.

Again, though, this is a lovely idea.
