Westin vs Bryant Park??

We are currently booked into the Westin but are considering changing to the Bryant.

Does anyone have any views on either hotels to help us decide?

This will be our 1st time in NY and as its part of our honeymoon we want to pick the right hotel.

Thanks for your help!

Westin vs Bryant Park??

They%26#39;re very different. The Bryant Park is near but not in Times Square. It%26#39;s just off Fifth Ave. It%26#39;s a very trendy hotel that attracts rock stars etc. and has a trendy bar and restaurant. Rooms facing the front of the building look onto Bryant Park which is a nice open space. In Nov/Dec they have skating in that park. Several folks on these forums have stayed there and liked it. Here%26#39;s a trip report from one

tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g60763-i5-k780558-鈥?/a>

He also posted photos of his trip and I thought the room looked a bit spare but they didn%26#39;t mind.

The Westin is much bigger and more of a corporate feeling hotel. It%26#39;s taller and many of the rooms have views, but they%26#39;re mostly of the Hudson River and New Jersey (facing west).

Have you looked at ';candid travelers photos'; of both on the page with the reviews?

Westin vs Bryant Park??

Don%26#39;t know about the Westin, but my husband and I have stayed at the Bryant Park and liked it very much. We did upgrade our room once we saw our original room, which was very small. The new room was a corner room overlooking the park and while sparsely

furnished and minimulistic, it was

very chic and trendy with cashmere throws and a great CD including tapes. The bathroom was awesome-huge with a great tub and shower, really contemporary sinks, great toiletrees.

We did not frequent the bar as the scene was way too young and noisy for our taste(we are over fifty). If you are young and hip, you will love this place and the staff. The location can%26#39;t be beat, just off Fifth Ave and easy to walk everywhere or a subway stop on the corner.
