Queen Mary II, Crossing from NY

We have booked passage for the crossing leaving on Oct 7th from NY. What kind of weather can we expect? Will it be very rough that late in the year? Very cold? We also our seated in the Princess Grill room. Does anyone have any comments about the food or the room? Any other planning suggestions for the cruise? Clothing suggestions?

You would be better to ask these questions either on the cruise forum here on TA

tripadvisor.com/ShowForum-g1-i10703-Cruises.鈥?/a>

or on cruisecritic.com where you%26#39;ll find some folks who may have made the trip or meet some who will be on the ship with you. ;)

The weather in NYC in the beginning of October is usually nice but that does not mean it will be the same in the North Atlantic. Take whiz%26#39;s advice.

I did the crossing in early May and it was pretty rough and rather cold.

Nevertheless, it was amazingly wonderful.

We were also in Princess Grill - the room is really nice - very much like a nice restaurant on the Upper East Side. Visit the dining room early, scope out a table, and ask the maitre%26#39;d for the table you want.

That will be your table for breafast, lunch, and dinner.

You are in for a treat.
