Bettina? Calling for help again! Theater night dinning?

I am trying to book tickets to Drowsy Chaperone (because so many people have recommended it) and the website is offering some sort of dinner and theater deal.

Is this something they do for us out of town rubes?

The choices are Maria Pia (cheapest at $40) up to Moda (50), Beacon and Firebird (70).

The website says-

Our dinner packages give you the opportunity to enjoy some of New York%26#39;s finest restaurants, making your night on Broadway easy and exciting. Each dinner voucher includes a three-course meal with tax and tip already included. Simply choose the dining level that best suits your tastes and budget.

Would you recommend any of these restaurants? Are we silly to be concerned about getting seated and served in time so we are not rushed? Let me know if you think this is a good idea, or we would be just as good on our own.

Thanks Colleen

I%26#39;m not Bettina, but I%26#39;ll just mention the prix fixe dinner at Maria Pia is $21.95 without this offer, so not sure if that $40 is per person or for 2. Here%26#39;s their dinner menu

The Beacon and the Firebird (and Maria Pia) are all good, popular restaurants so the issue is not the selection. The real issue is the price. I don%26#39;t know what you%26#39;re being offered (food wise) for these prices. I also don%26#39;t know who%26#39;s making the offer and whether it will affect your theater ticket prices.

I don%26#39;t know Moda and the reviews on menupages.com are mixed.

I agree. It%26#39;s usually more expensive when you buy a theater+dinner package. I like Maria Pia, Beacon and Firebird, though they%26#39;re quite different from each other.

You all rock! What great and speedy advice. I guess I will just go and book the tickets. Does anyone know of a cheaper place to get tickets than the Broadway.com site for tickets in May? I want to get them ahead of time, not try the day of thing.

Yes! Go here

broadwaybox.com/shows/the_drowsy_chaperone_n鈥?/a>

for discounted seats thru May 24th. If you%26#39;re coming after that and are willing to wait, you might still get discounts.

If you don%26#39;t want to wait, go to

www.ticketmaster.com/artist/1014448/鈥?/a>

Thanks for the links to the ticket options. The ticket master one wants a password. Does anyone know the promotional code?

5BOX is the code--put this in the second ticket option when it asks for a promotional code--go to broadwaybox.com for other shows and codes.
