Restaurants near Holiday Inn Expess 232 West 29th st ?

I finally decided on the Holiday Inn Express because of it%26#39;s proximity to FIT and my conference.

Hotel offers free breakfast now I need some ideas for lunch that%26#39;s close within walking distance.I%26#39;m not into fancy expensive meals...good food/good sevice/good prices

Ok, stayed there last week and can recommend two places.

Home on 8th for great Chinese, $5.50 lunch specials. Take a left out of hotel and turn right onto 8th, it%26#39;s right there.

Sette very good Italian with a long lunch menu that ran from noon to 7pm and was $15.00 for app, entree and dessert. Take a right out of hotel, turn right onto 7th, couple blocks down on the left.

Also on 7th was a big Whole Foods Market.

It was good thanks. Breakfast is very extensive.

Whole Foods is a market but they also have prepared foods, salads, soups, etc. Bought a large bottled water for 79 cents.

Check menupages for the Chelsea area that is how I found those two great restaurants.

Seven is also nice on 7th ave b/w 29-30.

The immediate are around your hotel is not fabulous for dining but there%26#39;s enough if you pick carefully. If you head further south into Chelsea proper (lower 20%26#39;s and into the teens) you%26#39;ll find more. Have a quick read here
