Helmsley park lane

Hi

Was wondering what the real deal is with the Helmsley Park Lane. I have read so many bad reviews about it being outdated but it is in a nice location. Was thinking of sending my parents there for there 10th anniversary and don%26#39;t want them to be dissapointed. Any suggestions?

My wife and I stayed there in the 90%26#39;s. It was dated even then. The location is great if you are interested in Central Park, but everything within walking distance is for tourist (ie ridiculously expensive). If you are in love with the area, I would suggest the Parker Meridian. Great lobby, and service, not the drop dead views of Central Park, but a wonderful experience.
