Night Clubs and bars - any reccomendations??1

Hi There. My friend and I are visiting NY for our first time in June and staying in midtown area. Can anyone recommend any good night spots? We%26#39;re both in our twenties and like house music.

I have two suggestions 1- CHAOS- located 225 east houston street phone #212-206-7770 the other one is 2i%26#39;s 248 west 47th street phone #212-807-1775. They have house music! have fun!

check out the site www. newyorkontap and hit on the area which you are interested in. there will be a list of clubs / bars that will come up with descriptions, addresses and also some have user reviews.

there was one bar on the edge of the %26#39;trendy bar area%26#39; in chelsea called Brite Bar. although it was classified as a gay bar, such was not the case as it turned out to be an upscale small club with a dj spinning some great house music. not a dance club but more of a ';groovy'; place to chill and listen to good music. well that and alot of pretty people attempting to throw off some se*y attitude. also the bar has a great view of the top of the ESB. the place is located on 10th ave on the NW corner of 27th street.

also, once in that area, you can walk around a bit and find numerous dance clubs....most with lines and ropes.
