Hey all, i%26#39;m going to New York in mid-August and need to clear up a few things.
How long do i need remaining on my passport at time of flying? Is it the customary 6 months? *My passport IS machine readable*
Do i need any type of Visa, i%26#39;m going for 8 days as a tourist so don%26#39;t i come under the Visa Waiver Program..
If i do come under the Visa Waiver Program do i need to fill in any paper work prior to flying? or is it all done on the plane?
Thanks in advance :)
Passport and Visa Query
Yes you need 6 months remaining on your passport (from the date you return)
You%26#39;ll get two forms to fill in on the plane, sometimes you can pick them up at check in but the flight attendants will bring them around on the plane anyway.
Passport and Visa Query
Sorry, meant to add, yes you do come under the visa waiver program.
The only thing I%26#39;d add is that it%26#39;s easiest to fill in the forms on the plane, saves a lot of time once you%26#39;re in the airport. Also, the only other thing you%26#39;ll find you have to do, is have your fingerprints and photo taken at immigration, no hassle, just takes a few seconds.
